In Detail – For all of us who have experienced the shimmy when accelerating and the smooth ride when de-accelerating we know what it is. Dad Driver! When you take the boot off sometimes you will find the driver without any grease or very little. The grease escapes through a loose can on the driver over time. You will find this mostly on Turbos and especially on the right side. The right driver is only an inch from the hot exhaust pipe cooking the o ring. I want to share My procedure I have created 30+ years ago at Mile Hi Automotive in Denver, CO. Every Transmission I rebuild gets two rebuilt drivers. Drivers are expensive but for the price of a 2-148 Buna O Ring, You have a like new driver. Here is a picture procedure.
